Are you too self-conscious to share selfies on your socials? Try keeping your selfies “not about you.”
When you wear your Trades of Hope designs, you’re representing the HOPE given to the Artisans with whom we partner. Our hope is that you’re sharing their stories in your own words when you wear their creations and post your selfies, but in case you need some coaching, here are some examples when others comment on your ToH accessories:

“Thanks for the compliment! I love how the gold adds a pop of holiday sparkle in these Eta Earrings! They’re made by Pintu, a woman in India. These earrings are helping her provide an education for her kids!”

“Not only do these Aura Earrings match everything, they were made from capiz by Emelyn, who was able to help her family in the Philippines buy a home! And right now they’re on sale!”

“Yassss, I know, right? The craftsmanship IS gorgeous but did you know this Ebony Leather Traveler Bag provides fair jobs to women like Asha in India … I just love being part of the opportunities given to women in a culture where that isn’t the norm!”
You get the idea. It only takes a few moments of legwork to get the backstory on most of our designs.

Bottom line: Be authentic but strategic with your selfies. Encourage others to share theirs and INTERACT with your commenters to build relationships. You’re planting seeds, and the harvest will come in time as you continue to nurture.
