Pop-Ups
Pop-Ups are online or in-person settings where Partners share Trades of Hope with an Advocate’s friends and family.
Advocates invite their friends/family to pop-ups. They may receive Advocate Rewards as a “thank you” for introducing Partners to new customers.
Elevate Academy provides support for survivors of human trafficking so they can rebuild their lives. The more that’s shopped in a pop-up, the more days Partners and Advocates sponsor for a survivor in the program.
REMINDER: All Pop-ups must have 3 orders to qualify for rewards, donations or givebacks!
Advocate Links
How it Works:
- You create a pop-up link.
- Send the link and a script she can use.
- She sends the link and script to her friends and family.
- You send her scripts and graphics when each of the following happens in the month: Hope Mail, Lookbook Chapter, Prelude Product, and End of Month Promotions.
- Let he know when one of her friends shop and how close she is to sponsoring another Elevate Academy day for a survivor of human trafficking.
- Close out the pop-up link after 30 days. Share with her the impact she’s made & rewards she earned.

How to Invite: (With Scripts)
We recommend inviting your customers and VIP group members to be Advocates.
General Invitation:
“There’s a way you can advocate for (the cause they told you they care about), and it’s as easy as sending a text message! Would you like an advocate link? I create it for you, and you share with friends and family however you normally communicate with them. No posting, inviting, or tuning in – just a link and a simple message I can create for you. Does (alleviating poverty / creating freedom for more women) sound like something you’d be interested in?”
When she says yes:
“Great! Please send this message and link individually to any friends or family members that you think may be interested in helping you advocate for (the cause they told you they care about)!” (Insert her link and your scripted message.)
Scripted message you can give her to send to her friends:
“I’m advocating on behalf of women globally for the month of March. Trades of Hope works with over 18,000 Artisans in 15 countries to empower women and children out of poverty and trafficking. They do this through the sale of their beautiful handmade, ethically-made items. I’m sending you the link in case you too would like to help and support me in making a difference!” (Insert Pop-Up Link here for them.)

Check in with Advocate Weekly
Be sure to check in with your Advocate weekly! Luckily, we have something new happening every week!
Reach out to her with a script and graphic for her to send her friends/family about the following:
- Hope Mail Release
- Lookbook Chapter Release
- Prelude Product Release
- End of Month Promotion
- Other New Product Release
You can also send her check-in messages like:
“Hi, Sara! I just wanted to check in and let you know how great you’re doing at advocating for women globally! Your Advocate Link has $XXX in sales, and you’ve earned $XXX in rewards! Keep sharing, you still have 2 more weeks to advocate!”
Be sure to check in with her weekly, thank her for making an impact and make her feel valued!
When Your Advocate Gets an Order:
When an order comes through on your Advocate’s link, be sure to email/message the customer and thank her for her order as always!
You also want to reach out to your Advocate to let her know!
“Hi Sara! Chloe Jones just placed an order on your Advocate Link! I have emailed her a thank you, but you may want to reach out to thank her as well! Your Advocate Link now has $XXX in sales!”
Closing Out an Advocate Link
At the end of the month, reach out to your Advocate to help her close her link! Be sure to mention to her that she can use her rewards to become a Partner!
“Sara! Thank you so much for advocating for our Artisans this past month! It has been so fun, and you earned $XXX in Rewards and X Half Off Items! You can choose your rewards by logging into your customer account here: https://tradesofhope.com/log-in-customer. You can click on Forgot Your Password? if you need that reset! Once you’re logged in, click on Pop-Ups and then you can choose your rewards! You can also use your $XXX in rewards towards the price of a Join Collection to become a Partner like me, so you can continue to make an impact! What do you think?!”
If she is not interested in Partnering at this time, be sure to invite her to Advocate again in a few months!

Gathering in person to share the Trades of Hope impact has always been one of our favorite things. Sharing beautiful products, laughing with friends, women supporting women-could it get any better?!
The resources below will help you have a successful party, full of fun and impact!

Confidently present your party with these gorgeous cue cards! Have your presentation in front of you while displaying beautiful images of our artisan partners around the world.

Games
Introducing games into your party can be a way to include some fun into your presentation! What we work with can be heavy stuff if your guests are just hearing about fair trade and the importance of working to end sex trafficking for the first time.
Keep the games simple so your party doesn’t feel overwhelming! Keep the prizes sustainable for you and your business, often it’s great to give away a prize that encourages an order whether that’s free shipping or a free gift with purchase.
Game Options:
– Doorprize Game
Put a sticker on a catalog that you will hand out, whoever finds that sticker, wins a prize!
– Wishlist Tic Tac Toe
(You will need to create tic tac toe boards for your guests for this game)
After your presentation, when you pass out the catalogs, give guests 10-15 minutes to look through and write down their 9 favorite wish list items in each of the blocks. Now go through the catalog with them and mention your favorite 9 items and a talk briefly about each one mentioning where it’s made, the material or the artisan and they can put a mark on a space on their board if you mention one of the 9 products they’ve written down. First one with 3 in a row wins a little prize.
This game gives them a chance to really look at the catalog and choose 9 items they’d like to have!
Optional Ideas
A few optional ways to go above and beyond to serve your party guests:
– Serve our Coffee!
Make a pot or two of our Natalia Blend Coffee to serve to party guests. Have a bag on hand so you can share what the subscription looks like and give them a chance to try it before they buy it!
– Coloring Sheets for Kids (or adults!)
Print out some of the free coloring sheets (can be found by searching “Coloring Pages” on Kindred Blog), print them out, and take to parties as a free giveaway for anyone interested!
Online Pop-Up
What's an Online Pop-up?
Gathering online is a great option for those that aren’t local to you, don’t have the time or room to host an in person pop-up! Sharing beautiful products, shopping fun, and using fashion as a force for good.
An online Pop-Up can be held in a messenger thread, or in an Instagram message!

This pop-up is perfect for the hostess that’s worried about being overwhelmed! By sharing one website URL, your hostess and party guests can click, browse, read, and shop at their convenience! You can make your own content, attach videos, graphics, use your own wording or use the wording we’ve provided. The best part is that this link has nothing to do with Facebook!
The Instant Impact Party can take place at any time, whenever it’s convenient for your guests!
You can create whatever beautiful, empowering, exciting, engaging experience that your party guests will participate in, and you can change it up at anytime!
Instant Impact Pop-Up Script
The Instant Impact Pop-Up is created in Canva, a free photo editing, graphic design website created to be fun and easy for anyone to use!
Here’s how you can simply create your Instant Impact Pop-Up in Canva:
- Start with our pre-designed TEMPLATE *You MUST edit the template with your own details- especially noting to change the Party Link/Replicated Website Link with your own links!
- Add your Facebook Messenger Link: http://m.me/yourfacebookname
- Download as a Website:
Easily publish and share your Canva designs as websites:
- Create or open an existing design.
- Click the ••• button on the top corner of the toolbar above the editor.
- On the search bar, type “website.” Click Website.
- Select a Scrolling Web style. Click Preview website to see how it looks like.
- Click Open website. The design will open in a new tab. If you used premium elements, click Pay and Open website to purchase them.
- Copy the website link from your browser’s address bar.

Tips
- Create this URL on Canva using the Story Templates. When you are satisfied with your creation, download it as a WEBSITE in SCROLLING VIEW.
- You can include videos, graphics, text, clickable buttons, GIFs, the sky is really the limit!
- You can easily edit or add pages in the middle of the pop-up! The next time that guests open the link, the changes are already made!
- Content is condensed and focused, not scheduled or posted individually, and you will not have to worry about those guests who don’t use Facebook and don’t want to be added to one more group, event or messenger thread.
- This is GREAT for busy women! They can say YES to hosting an Instant Pop-Up today, and you can have the link ready for her to start texting out within a matter of minutes. There is no “pre pop-up” posting needed.
- Once you create a template you love in Canva, you can simply copy the template for your next Hostess! Be sure to change out the Pop-Up Links, Pop-Up Close Date, Hostess info and any other custom information you have updated.
- You will be able to see how many clicks were made on the Instant Pop-Up Link right through Canva.
- Your hostess can create a “pop-up message” (eg, a group message on Facebook Messenger) if she does want to have communication and connection with her guests. You can run this like a Virtual Pop-Up, but with ONE simple post, which is the Instant Party Link. Incorporate tickets or games into your template. You can attach your Messenger Link anywhere in the template. This can create fun interaction and communication from your Hostess!
- You can create a shorter Canva Story for Hostess Coaching, to show your Hostess how the Instant Party will work, and what you expect of her. Text this Hostess Coaching Link out to your Hostess before her party.

What’s a better CAUSE for Celebration than helping others give back to what matters most to them! Fundraiser pop-ups are a fantastic way to show your heart through your Trades of Hope business by helping others meet a financial need.

Grow your circle! Vender Pop-Ups are a great way to reach a new crowd. Share artisan stories in a fun shopping environment, meeting new potential hostesses, and potential partners!
Search for local events through Facebook or Google that you could be a part of to bring Trades of Hope to your community!
