Vision Trips are back for 2024 and we’re going to……

THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC & TO GUATEMALA!

NOTE: As of 2/28/24 the DR trip is FULL!

Pack your bags and book those pop-ups, because the FIRST 26 people who reach $3,000 in sales (QV) from January 27th and purchase a deposit ticket in their Partner Store will get their spot on one of two trips happening in October 2024!

Vision Trips are open to Partners who sell $3,000 (QV) from January 27th.

Once you have achieved this goal, you’ll receive a coupon that you can enter into your Partner Store to purchase your trip deposit ($200) for one of the two trips.

There are 12 spots available the DR and 14 spots for Guatemala, first come first serve for those who pay their deposit on the trip of their choice.

These are the only 2 Vision Trips available for 2024. We will not be adding more trips this year.

THIS TRIP IS FULL!

  • Dominican Republic:
    • October 9th – 13th (Wednesday – Sunday)
    • Flying to Santo Domingo
    • Staying at the Hotel Ancla
    • Partner Cost is $795 (shared room) or $895 (private room)

Planned Activities:

Meet several girls from Batey Rescue Project and have the opportunity to take them to school. Visit the office of the Batey Girls and see the bead making workshop.  Enjoy a day at the beach with your Trades of Hope sisters, as well as the girls and family. Enjoy breathtaking views while learning about the daily life in the Dominican Republic for trafficking survivors. This trip will change the way you see poverty. Change the way you think and how you can make a true impact.

Leading the Trip:

Gretchen Huijskens and Katie May Godkin are both looking forward to spending time with you while giving you an amazing experience. We believe this trip will be valuable giving you the personal experiences that will further deepen your impact through Trades of Hope. 

Where we will stay:

We will be staying at the beautiful Hotel Suite Ancla, which guarantees easy access to the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean! All rooms are fully equipped (air conditioning, fan, refrigerator, and plasma TV.) Shared rooms include 2 double beds, 1 bed per person.

The Cost:

The trip to the DR will be $795 in a shared room, or $895 in a private room. Shared rooms include 2 double beds, 1 bed per person.A $200 non-refundable deposit is due when registering for the trip you choose. The remainder will be due by June 1st. This fee pays for your transportation to and from the airport, housing, all food and activities. *This does NOT cover airfare into Santo Domingo Airport. (code SDQ)

We will do lots of fun things, but the best part are the people!

We will not be allowing fundraiser parties for Partners to earn funds for their vision trips.

  • Guatemala:
    • October 23rd – 27th (Wednesday – Sunday)
    • Flying to Guatemala City
    • Staying the Ojala Hostel, Antigua
    • Partner Cost is $695

Planned Activities:

Meet several groups of Artisans. Hear directly from them about their culture, traditions and what their partnership with you means to them. A coffee plantation tour and tasting with Pablo. Experience traditional Guatemalan meals with a private cook.

Tour Antigua, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll over cobble stone streets, visiting cathedral ruins and vibrant markets.

Where we will stay:

  • We will be staying at the beautiful Ojala Hostel. Ojala means “hopefully” in Spanish, and it is often heard in daily conversations around the country. Ojala combines modern design with Guatemalan art, such as textiles and pottery that you will find throughout the property. The spectacular gardens were created from scratch, and are truly breathtaking in the early morning or at sunset. Ojala Hostel is an award-winning hostel, voted one of the best in North America
  • The accommodations are bunk beds with shared bathrooms.  Trades of Hope will be taking up most of the hostel, but there is a chance a few other people will be sharing bathrooms with us as well.  Each dorm room will only be Partners.
  • The hostel is very clean and newly renovated. 

The Cost:

The trip to Guatemala will be $695- A $200 non-refundable deposit is due when registering for the trip you choose. The remainder will be due by June 1st. This fee pays for your transportation to and from the airport, housing, daily breakfast and 1 additional meal per day, and activities. Please note there will be 2 lunches and 2 dinners where you will. be on your own and responsible for covering your own meal. On those days you will be provided breakfast and 1 additional meal, the third meal of the day you will be responsible for. *This does NOT cover airfare into Guatemala City Airport. (code GUA)
