This sweet, feminine, silver-tone necklace features a dainty strand of five pink tourmaline beads on a silver chain and is made by women rescued from brothels in East Asia. Ten dollars from the purchase of every Women’s Health Necklace is given directly to a women’s health fund in Haiti, to provide necessary, sometimes emergency, medical assistance for women in need. In areas of extreme poverty, health issues often go undiagnosed and untreated until they become severe. Purchasing this necklace creates more opportunity for women to receive the care they deserve. Every Women’s Health Necklace also helps support a sex-trafficking survivor in East Asia with safe housing, health care, trauma counseling, job skills training, and dignified income.

“I was one of the first women to join this workshop. Like all women who join our workshop, my first training and job opportunity was making jewelry. Now, I am the Production Manager. I supervise all aspects of production and make sure that orders are completed on time.
I never imagined I would be here this long– now 16 years later. Those first years were really very wonderful, yet I still prefer the group of today. Today is different, our eyes have been opened to many new possibilities.
I will continue working here because this means I can be with my child and family. On weekends I can take my child to play. In the future, I think our workshop will help more and more families. I would like it if more women could join us. We have insurance, a great working schedule, and we get the weekends to spend time with our family, not to mention the chance to study at work. No other companies here offer this opportunity.”
