Vendor Events

Trades of Hope is a home party business and most of your sales should be through the home party model; however, we LOVE vendor events and feel they are a great addition to parties as a way to fill your calendar, generate leads and add to your contact list!

Things to Consider:

• What type of audience will be at this event? (Moms, families, brides, etc…)
• Do they have a Facebook event page that you can share and post your website link on?
• How many total vendors will be attending this event? How many of them sell jewelry?
• Will you need to provide your own table? If not, is there a fee to rent one there?
• Is there a fee to participate? Will you need to provide a door prize of a certain value?
• Will you have access to WiFi or a way to connect to the internet?
• How much time will you need to prepare for the event? (Packing/set up/breakdown, etc.)

Planning for Success:

• SMILE! Keep your décor simple, you want the focus to be Trades of Hope! Focus on the jewelry and the artisans. Wear your favorite piece and be prepared to talk about it!
• Allow guests to touch the jewelry, make sure you have a mirror handy! When people try on jewelry and see themselves in it, they become connected to it.
• Share your passion for Trades of Hope! Greet each guest, let them know you want to talk to them and answer their questions.

Focus on relationships along with sales:

• Offer a raffle prize/drawing. This will help you collect information for each visitor to your booth.
• Have every customer (even cash & carry) fill out an order form. This will provide them with your contact details, and will provide you with theirs.
• Follow up within 24-48 hours. Call each person and see if they want to book a Trades of Hope party! Jot down specific parts of a conversation you had with someone so you can remember to mention it to them when you follow up.
• Have your calendar available at your booth and offer an incentive to anyone who books.
