Now that you have a solid rhythm of selling, sponsoring, following up with your customers and teaching your team to do the same, it’s time to keep growing!

Coaching your team and holding them accountable to their goals is going to help YOU and your team members continue to grow in your businesses and as individuals!

Why should you coach?

  • Coaching will help you grow in relationship and community with your team.
  • Gives your team a safe space to set goals to create strategy and be held accountable.
  • Empowers your team to achieve more than they could on their own.
  •  Inspires your team to stay focused on income-producing activities.

Coaching is not giving all the answers, but it’s asking questions that help each team member clarify what needs to be accomplished to push her Trades of Hope business forward. By asking questions and actively listening, you can help by guiding your team member to create an action plan that will help her to achieve specific goals. Your support is so important in helping your team to commit and follow through with action steps—something they may not do if creating a plan on their own.

Who should you coach?

You will want to review your team center to find which team members you want to help by coaching. You will first want to review your schedule and availability and figure out when and how long you are available for coaching calls each week or month.

For example, you should schedule weekly calls with new Partners in their first few weeks and Partners who are working towards specific goals, and possibly set aside time for  monthly calls with other Partners or Affiliates for consistent connecting and support.

You can offer coaching calls via Zoom or over the phone to:

  • New Partners during their first few weeks/months to hold them accountable to their why, to help guide them through their Hope Portal and continue to check on their progress.
  • New Affiliates during their first week of enrollment to answer any questions about getting started.
  • Partners who have expressed a goal to promote in rank.
  • Partners who want to re-start or engage more in their business.
  • Affiliates who have expressed interest in switching to a Partner, or Affilaites who have recently switched to becoming a Partner.
  • Partners who have set goals to achieve specific incentives, or Partners who are consistently achieving monthly goals such as Dream by 15 and/or earning the Artisan Call.
  • It’s important to recognize that not every Partner or Affiliate will want coaching or support!. Offer support to those who show a desire to reach their goals and show a willingness to try new things, as well as those who maintain a positive attitude and commitment to follow through.

What should you coach on?

On your first call, talk about specific goals for each team member. Find out what’s working well and where each Partner or Affiliate needs help.

Below are examples of common situations to work through together during coaching calls:

  • Setting monthly goals
  • Booking Parties (online, home)
  • Overcoming fear of approaching individuals about Trades of Hope
  • Increasing sales and attendance during Parties
  • How to have a Sponsoring conversation
  • Creating a plan for consistent customer follow-up
  • Improving Hostess coaching
  • Improving consistency in all areas
  • Improving time management and organization skills

Now that you know why coaching is important, you have an idea of who you should be coaching, and some ideas on what you should be coaching on- let’s move onto the next lesson to review how a coaching conversation can look like!
